Fletcher First-Year Fellow

Stella is a Raleigh native and a recent graduate of Davidson College, where she majored in psychology with an additional focus in data science. Having grown up in Raleigh, she understands how special a community it is and hopes to give back to it as a Fellow.

Stella's academic background shapes how she thinks about meaningful work, pairing genuine personal connection with an analytical approach. She found herself especially drawn to social psychology and data visualization projects during her time as an undergraduate. She's looking forward to incorporating data storytelling into her research and building authentic connections with the community she will be serving.

At Davidson, Stella served as President of the Patterson Court Council, where she managed an executive board focused on issues such as civic engagement, education, and sustainability, and led general body meetings for leadership across Davidson's social organizations. This role taught her the value of constant reflection and discourse that makes room for many perspectives. She is also a proud alum of Warner Hall Eating House, a member organization of Patterson Court.

When not at work, Stella can be found doing yoga, reading, spending time with friends, or watching New Girl, which she considers to be among the best comedy shows of all time.
