Mr. Patterson is a partner at Simplicity Group, where he works with financial advisors and institutions to help clients develop wealth management, estate planning, and philanthropic planning strategies.

Throughout his career, he has held leadership positions and served on several nonprofit and public-sector boards, including Wake County Human Services, Healing Transitions, the State of North Carolina Pension Plan, and the North Carolina Department of State Treasurer’s Investment Advisory Committee.

A lifelong North Carolinian, Mr. Patterson and his wife, Joyclynn, have called Raleigh home for more than 45 years. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from North Carolina State University.
